These terms set out the rights and obligations of you and YOUMI for ordering, payment, delivery and returns. The EU Consumer Rights Directive and German law prevail.
Document info
This page is placeholder content for demonstration purposes. The sections below were written solely to demonstrate the layout of this shop; they are not legal advice and do not create rights or obligations of any kind.
Before the shop goes live, this text must be reviewed and replaced by a Rechtsanwalt or solicitor qualified in Germany, in particular as regards the provider information required by § 5 TMG and the privacy information required by Article 13 GDPR.
Every item in square brackets is still open. Until that review is complete, those items must not be read as binding company, register or tax details.
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts concluded with us through the YOUMI Asia Market (Demo) website by consumers and by businesses. A consumer is any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession; a business acts in the course of its trade or profession.
Terms of the customer that differ from or supplement these terms apply only if we have agreed to them in writing. The German version of these terms governs; the English and Chinese versions are provided for convenience only.
Products shown in the online shop are an invitation to order and do not constitute a binding offer. By submitting an order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the goods.
We accept that offer by sending an order confirmation or by dispatching the goods. The contract is formed when the order reaches us, and we confirm receipt by email without undue delay. If no contract is formed, any payment already made is refunded without delay.
The contract text is stored by us and can be viewed in the order confirmation. All details can be corrected in the basket at any time before the order is submitted.
All prices are quoted in euro and include statutory value added tax (MwSt.). VAT is shown separately on the invoice, and the applicable rate depends on the product category.
Delivery charges are shown separately in the basket and on the order summary and are payable in addition. The prices displayed at the time of the order apply; manifest pricing errors are reserved.
We deliver within Germany. Delivery times and charges are displayed before the order is completed.
If delivery is not possible despite an announced slot, the parcel is held at the carrier's branch and the collection deadline is stated in the notification. Partial deliveries are permitted where reasonably required to perform the contract and do not attract additional delivery charges.
Payment is processed by the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland). We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay and Google Pay; further methods may be added at checkout.
Payment is due when the order is placed. Full card details are never stored by us but processed solely by Stripe; we receive only status information such as the last four digits and the authorisation result.
This shop runs in Stripe test mode. No payments are collected in the demonstration, and test cards do not create any charge.
Consumers have a right of withdrawal under § 312g of the German Civil Code (BGB) for distance contracts. The contract may be withdrawn within 14 days without giving reasons; the period starts on the day the consumer, or a third party nominated by the consumer, takes possession of the goods.
An unambiguous statement is sufficient, for example by email to [Insert email address] or through the returns form on the Returns page. The details, including return costs and the model withdrawal form, are set out in the return conditions.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods within the meaning of § 312g(2) BGB, in particular not to perishable food or to sealed products whose seal has been removed after delivery where they are unsuitable for return on health protection or hygiene grounds.
Goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full. Before title passes, the goods may not be sold, pledged or transferred by way of security.
If the customer acts in breach of contract, in particular by defaulting on payment, we may reclaim the goods and rescind the contract in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Statutory rights in respect of defects apply (§§ 434 et seq. BGB). The passing of a best-before date does not constitute a defect where the goods were stored properly until then.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence in breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract; otherwise liability is excluded.
These limitations do not affect claims under guarantees given by us or claims that are mandatory by statute. Spoilage or transit damage should be reported to [Insert email address] within 48 hours with a photograph; statutory time limits remain unaffected.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected under Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of § 36 VSBG. The European Union's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025; complaints may be sent to [Insert email address].
Insofar as legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin. Consumers may also bring proceedings at their general place of jurisdiction.
